10 km from Kelheim - 102 km to Bamberg

The 102 is a "typo". As the canal has a length of 172 km, the right value would be 162 km. The picture is from 2004 - maybe the error was corrected in the meantime.

Lock cottage and weir from the other bank of Main-Danube Canal. The lock is located on an island within the canal. The island will be developed to a biotope island and therefore it is closed for public. This is also, why I could not manage to get closer to the lock.
